It is easy to access this service at the community level and it offers affordable and comprehensive service providing NRT and/or prescription drug and professional counseling.

In the UK, this service is being standardized by having a central NHS Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (www.ncsct.co.uk)that will be in charge of training and development of the staff to an accredited qualification standard that is based on a thoroughly researched and evaluated training course curriculum.
